I've seen people posting their tattoos. So here's an interpretation of 3Jane from the sprawl trilogy
Have read all three books and somehow missed that 3Jane was into bdsm... Damn
What I remember most about the books are the future drugs. They rock
Unless somebody decides to implant you a cybernetic pancreas.
Don't worry, there's some blue stuff that's so strong that you can get around that. Just meet me on Freeside and I'll get you the hookup.
I always pictured Lady 3Jane as Daisy from the Great Gatsby. An over-the-top, eccentric, inansely rich woman who's never had to live in the same reality as everyone else. Even when she was in danger, she was never in any actual danger.
A woman who's been at absolute ease in any situation because she knows this world is here to serve her needs. The untouchability of absurd wealth.
Yeah, I basically took her as a sort of updated version of that, but a lot darker. I mean, Daisy wasn’t just sunny days and roses, but 3Jane was fucked from the insane wealth and isolation, hanging out with sadists and killers because she thought of them basically as cute toys.
I was about to say, thought this was the "Glados secretly is a tied up girl" image
Ah... okay. I was expecting something different.
At the very least, she would be at the giving end of that stick.
Fuck man when I read the sprawl triology I couldn’t even imagine how anything looked like…. Still love the books. But yeah…. 3Jane had no image in my head.
Yeah, there's like a one sentence description of the original Jane in Neuromancer. So the artist used that description. And the bondage is to represent how she was locked in the matrix.
it’s shibari ( japanese art of rope bondage)but with an electric cord as opposed to the traditional rope.
It might have been an OK tattoo if you got a decent artist but man that is crude...
Woah that's an awesome interpretation, both her story and this depiction remind me so much of GLaDOS / Caroline from Portal
So, with the cords and plugs tied into her, is this called "neo-shibari?" Zamn, if the plug would fall off she would crash in the head, and the impact depends on how high she is actually on the floor. The Famous masochist in fiction called Darkness would like to try that, i'm sure.
Not many people know this but the matrix is just a hallucination console cowboys get from head trauma.
