Hi, don't worry. The first thing you need to do is not reply to that email. At some point, the bad reviews will stop. Once they've stopped, report every bad review to Google. I've been through a similar situation before. I was receiving bad reviews from Malaysia. All of them said, "Good app," but they gave me a 1-star rating, lol. Once I felt that they had stopped giving ratings, I started reporting every bad review I received. Within 24 hours, Google removed those reviews.

For me it's 50-50 some got removed some not. I wish there was a way to send a message for appeal and not just flag as spam and report.

not sure how effective but it might be worth a shot:

try reporting the email address there. I'm pretty sure that low key extortion + offering play store manipulation is breaking some part of gmail programs policies or ToS. It probably won't help with your play store ratings but it might make the life of that person at least a bit harder.

Are your customers based in India/Turkey? If yes, then this is a problem that can be fixed with time.

If no, then not much to worry. You only see ratings and reviews 1. from your country 2. From devices closest to you 3. And preference is given to revent reviews.

You can check the reviews from a country by adding '&gl=US' (Replace us with any country).

No it's not true. If in some countries the app is not yet rated or has a low amount of ratings then the general rating is used - which includes fake indian reviews.
